Are boilers under 7 years old excluded from the free boiler scheme?
Yes. Boilers under 7 years old are excluded ( as well as up to 18 yrs old ) as the free boiler scheme assumes that it will be more cost effective to repair your current boiler, than to have it replaced under the scheme.
The days of changing new boilers simply because they are free are now over. Only genuine cases will now be eligible for the grant.
Are There Free Boilers For Disabled Still Available.
Not at the moment ( June 2023)
All disabled benefits were excluded from the Free Boiler Scheme Last May when Eco 4 kicked in. We have been told that all the disabled benefits may be making a comeback though so do watch this space.
