Who Funds The Scotland Free Boiler Grant?
This government Eco scheme is funded by the ‘Big Six’ Utility companies.
Eco has been especially set up to help low income households in England, Scotland and Wales, to access funding to install central heating, free insulation, and other heating upgrades.

This money is collected by your energy supplier and fed into an ECO fund.

Eligible homeowners can get a free boiler through the Warmer Homes Scotland Scheme as well as the Uk Warm Front Scheme.
The existing boiler needs to be a non condensing boiler to be eligible and your property needs to be an EFG EPC Rating.
You may also qualify for free loft and wall insulation, draught-proofing and renewable systems for generating your own energy.
Can I Get A Free Oil / LPG Central Heating System
There are no grants for oil fired or LPG central heating systems at the moment unfortunately.
This is because there are extra costs involved such as a new LPG tank which itself usually costs around £1000.
The oil boiler grant scheme was discontinued back in 2017 and so if you do not have gas in the area, you will not be able to apply.
