This company was extremely easy to deal with. The staff I had dealings with were very helpful, especially Carlo. When there was a slight hiccup with the first installation company assigned to us, Carlo got on the case immediately and reassigned another company. The company they used were extremely professional. Overall I am very pleased with the whole process.

Great service from Carlo who was there from start to finish helping my mother save at least £4000 on a full central heating system Carlo helped us get a very good company that was brilliant and installed the system within the week of coming to survey the job and only taking one day to install Would definitely recommend this service as when I was phoning up companies myself they either wasn’t turning up or telling us we wasn’t eligible or turning up and then hearing nothing from them again Once again 5 stars for this company

Grants For Air Source Heat Pumps – 6 Reasons To Apply

Here are 6 reasons why you should consider swapping your oil or gas boiler, or  electric heating, for a heat pump:

  1. Grants Are Available

You could be entitled to a 100% grant or £7500 towards it.

  1. Reduce your energy bills

Moving to a heat pump means you can avoid the high prices associated with gas and oil.

Oil, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) or electric heating are very expensive ways of heating and you will see a reduction to your energy bill if you move to a heat pump.

  1. No VAT to pay on installation

The government has recently announced 0% VAT on the installation of heat pumps and biomass boilers, which will last for 5 years, further reducing the cost of installation.

  1. Reduce your carbon footprint and combat climate change

Heat pumps are significantly more efficient than traditional boilers and use cleaner electricity, so will reduce your home’s carbon footprint. A heat pump takes heat at a low temperature from the air or ground, increases that heat to a higher temperature and transfers it into your home to provide heating and hot water.

  1. Save time and storage space by stopping fuel deliveries

If you’re using oil or LPG, you’ll no longer need to deal with fuel deliveries and can save space with not needing the storage for this anymore.

  1. Get ahead of the curve

Heat pumps are an important part of the future of heating, and installing one now will give you access to the latest technology and allow you to future proof your home.

How Does An Air Source Heat Pump Work ?

They work a bit like refrigerators in reverse.

An air source heat pump takes heat from the air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a compressor.

It then transfers the heat to the heating system in your home.

What Is The Cost Of An Air Source Heat Pump Installed ?

An average sized  three-bed house and can expect to pay £10,000-£15,000 in total to install a complete air source system,

The price will include a new heat pump ,  hot water tank and labour.

The final bill will depend on whether your existing radiators are large enough or need to be replaced.

Fitting a ground source pump will cost much more – typically upwards of £15,000

How Much Is A Heat Pump To Buy?

You can buy a heat pump and fit yourself if you are handy and are good with electrics.

Air-to-air heat pumps are cheaper, coming in at around £1,500-£3,500, whilst air-to-water pumps can cost anywhere from £8,000 to £18,000.

Is A heat pump heating expensive to run?

Ground source and air source heat pumps can provide significant savings over traditional heating systems, due to their low running costs.

For example, a ground source heat pump can reduce energy bills by up to  50% compared to a new gas boiler.

Is a heat pump cheaper than gas central heating?

Absolutely – Although Heat pumps are much more expensive to install in the first instance, in the long run they will pay for themselves.

As long as the house is well-insulated you will enjoy the reduction of your energy bills.

Do I still need a boiler with a heat pump?

No – You can completely replace your boiler with a heat pump be it an  Air or ground source heat pump.

A heat pump system will provide all the heat your home needs and runs at much lower temperatures than your boiler meaning a reduction in your bills.

Do you have to change radiators with a heat pump?

Yes You will need to use larger radiators if you upgrade to a heat pump.

Due to the low flow temperatures that heat pumps operate at, your existing radiators will not emit as much heat as they used to when heated by a gas boiler. We recommend that you install radiators that are as least twice as powerful and fit aluminum one s

What is the lifespan of a heat pump?

A heat pump will usually last 10 to 15 years.

This is due to being switched on all year-round, and operating daily.

How long does it take to install a heat pump in a house?

A typical heat pump installation takes between 4 and 8 hours to complete. Depending on the size of the existing system, weather, and accessibility.
