Warm Front Grants have evolved since inception and are now known as The Eco Obligation Scheme with Eco 4 being the current named scheme.

See more info about Eco here. Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme

It is hoped that Warm Front /Eco will massively help the UK to reach its net zero goal by 2050.

who pays for Warm Front?

All Warm Front Grants featured on this website such are funded by all the large energy companies that are signed up to the ECO4 scheme.

In reality it is the fuel bill payer that is really paying for Eco Grants via a small levy that is placed on every fuel bill.

Are There Warm Front Grants For Disabled?

All Disability Benefits and other ones too have been removed from qualifying unfortunately.

See below for a list of all the benefits that have been removed from qualifying for  Warm Front grants

Are There Any Grants For Landlords?

As a landlord, you may be eligible for an Warm Front grant if your tenants are in receipt of qualifying benefits.

They must be deemed to be on a low income, suffer from a health condition impacted by living in a cold home or are experiencing fuel poverty.

Your property will also need to be E Rated.

Are There Any Grants For Park Homes?

NO – We have been waiting for a couple of years for Park Homes to be included in the Free Eco Grants Scheme to no avail.

It seems the Government have no interest in helping people who reside in Park Homes.

I cannot see there being any in the future too probably because of their size and minimal carbon saved by insulating these homes.

What Is A Home Energy Efficiency Rating?

Home Energy Efficiency Rating  Is A Measure Of  How Energy Efficient Your Home Is.

Most homes have  An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating which is a numerical measure of a property’s energy efficiency.

It provides valuable insights into how efficient a building uses energy and offers recommendations for enhancing its energy performance.

These ratings are presented on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient), with ‘A’ being the most desirable.

What do EPC ratings mean?

Here’s an explanation of EPC ratings and their implications:

A: ‘A’ rated properties are the best of energy efficiency, resulting in considerably lower energy bills. These properties typically have excellent insulation and energy-efficient heating systems.

B: Properties rated ‘B’ are also highly efficient, with good insulation and energy-saving features that make them economical to maintain.

C: A ‘C’ rating indicates compliance with the minimum energy efficiency standards set by building regulations, denoting average efficiency.

D: Properties with a ‘D’ rating have moderate energy efficiency and may need upgrades to lower energy use. Most homes in England and Wales are in this category, despite being less efficient than ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’ rated homes.

E: ‘E’ rated properties are inefficient and incur higher energy costs, but they can be improved with energy-saving modifications.

F: An ‘F’ rating reflects poor efficiency, leading to high energy expenses. Major enhancements are required for a better rating.

G: ‘G’ rated properties are the least efficient, with the highest energy expenses, necessitating extensive energy-saving interventions for improvement.
