As you all know Eco 4 leads are now very difficult to acquire in 2025.
Google algorithm changes has killed a lot of the organic lead supply as well as introducing close variants for Google Ads ( Increasing ad costs by showing your ads to all and sundry that wont convert! )
Every lead needs to be cherished now so the industry should shun the π pickers and the SNIs that have blighted Eco for the 13 yrs I have been around Eco.
WHAT ARE CHERRY PICKERS?
These are the greedy installers who dont give a shit about helping people in fuel poverty and will only action the biggest paying leads for maximum profit for their efforts.
They try to have as many leads gens on board as possible to pick out the best leads and have a multitude of excuses for the unfortunate lead gens who question why their leads have not been contacted since landing 3 months ago in their inbox. π

WHAT ARE SNIs?
These are the installers that I have come across over the years that SURVEY (but) NO INSTALL. π
They take Eco 4 leads and book the client in for survey. The survey is carried out successfully BUT the customer does not go ahead with the install.
I have known loads of these over the years and I have lost lots of good lead commissions on jobs which did qualify and should have been installed.
GREAT CUSTOMER EXCUSES COME OUT π
I have heard them all over the years and excuses (from the applicant who does not want the installer back in their home under any circumstances ) include:
* My son needs to clear the loft
* Iβm going on holiday
* The dog has piles
* Going In hospital for a few months
* My boiler is working fine now
WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?
I believe that this is down mainly to the customer not being impressed with either the surveyor ( the face of the company ) or the company itself after reading reviews or seeing the surveyor turn up in an old skoda car worth Β£50 π
Also there are a lot of new installers that have come into Eco that are panning for gold that dont have a clue about the industry or how to go about applying themselves.
Customers can spot blaggers a mile off!
